Common Ailmnets: Can succumb to heavy snow loads.  
Preferred Soil: ph 6.5-8.5, moist, full sun, can tolerate high alkalinity.  
Attributes: Can tolerate heavy pruning. Makes an excellent screen or hedge plant, or foundation plant with pruning.
